First graduation party of the year. I’ve lived on Long Island my whole life you think i’d know where Shoreham is, well I do now lol. I’ll even give you directions. Normally I arrive too early anyway. Golf was on my mind as I arrived at the beautiful Tallgrass Golf club in Shoreham. I think i saw the whole course from where I was standing. I just had my clubs re-gripped and I’m looking forward to getting back on the course after my debut on a hot July 4th at Islands End in Greenport. I shot a 108. As far as the party was concerned it was a great time. I had to compete with outside as alot of these indoor functions tend to spray outside when it’s nice out. One of the gigs that i always return for is the annual cocktail party at Southampton Commons. We had a bad june 0 gigs but July and August seem to be strong. It’s interesting how up and down this sport is. I decided to keep the heavy stuff at home and go light. The light setup seemed to work great with the wireless connected to the mixtrack. I just wish my Gemini’s would stay together no bass on one speaker again. UGH. Tired of fixing these things. I had one unruly guest who complained about the music. She came up and asked me to change the music. And i replied what would you like to hear, she said Something different (I was playing oldies at the time and the lady was in her mid 60s). I was very surprised. The lady approached me again and told me I better turn the music down and got in my face. I walked away. I later heard she complained to one of the board members that she was not going to ever come back. OK BYE. She must have been having a bad day. Too bad, the rest of us had a blast. Great turnout as there weren’t enough tables for the guests. I also tried the sign up high as it is usually connected to the table. Custom Cool Rugs fundraiser 8/25/2012 I was very impressed when I arrived at Custom Cool Rugs to disc jockey this fundraiser. They had lots of nice tents setup and some cool asthetic decorations. I had a chance to walk inside and they have some really nice rugs, and pocketbooks. The setup was very standard. … 5/31/13 I’ve been in involved with the Relay For Life fundraiser for a long time. I think back to when my friend Cathy asked me to help in this event and it just felt like I was helping her out. Over the years my role in the event has increased to this year where i played and talked for half of the event. One of the top enjoyments for myself in my life is to entertain others . This year I felt like I had an impact on cancer and that’s an overwhelming feeling. It’s nice to be apart of event where the dedication and commitment to not just putting on an event but going over the top and making it successful. My goal was to perform at a high level and stay awake the entire event and I did that. I decided to split the Fundraiser into sections. This was my second time working the event and splitting the time with fellow dj Sam Santiago. No ego’s here Sam is a very nice guy and talented performer. With mutual respect for each other we shared the stage and covered many musical genre’s. Sam started the event with the Opening ceremony and music from 6-8pm. I took over from 8-10pm which included the illuinatry ceremony and the starting laps on the track. Sam resumed at 10-12pm which included the group invovlement dances which I have video of below. I was back from 12-3pm where we did my favorite musical chairs, and some other games including pop balloon relay which was a new game that went over well. Sam came back to wrap the event up. Weather wise it was very gloomy out. A week of rain showers raised many question marks for this Memorial Day Holiday Party celebration in East Hampton. As any Dj, and party goer should know is not to let the weather put you in a bad mood. I arrived early to find out where i was going to be. It was nice to see some familiar faces as my friends from FOOD & COMPANY were there serving their food. I met the host Ann and many of the guests and everyone was really nice. People were outside under the heat lamps and fire mingling and having a good time. It was my first time playing music in a leather jacket. I played lots of rock, disco, Motown, and then moved on to the current music. The kids and adults were singing karaoke inside which brought lots of smiles. Here is the playlist from the party. Ok so you guys liked March better than April. Â That’s ok because everyone is entitled to their opinion. Â I will keep promoting and growing the mixes. Â We will continue to steam roll the internet with May house music mix. Â There are fivecomponents of my mixes that i would like to share. Â The first is commercial appeal. Â I don’t spend much time listening to the radio but i want to grab the person that does and give them a remix that they haven’t heard before. Â The second is I call the familiarity factor. Â Nobody wants to listen to something they haven’t heard before Â so i try to hit them with a sample, or and old familar song that you may have heard in the 90’s or before. Â My goal is to keep you moving nothing slow. Â The last is transitions. Â I’m the very best at transitioning songs. Â If my transitions suck, i go back and do it again. I had such a great time putting this house mix together. When i was done i had a huge smile on my face. It’s nice to be back after not being able to play for a few weeks do to my hand surgery. Feeling fine now except for some recurring headaches. We reached new like records last month over 200 such a great growth for this mix. I also hit 400 twitter followers and 600 plus on soundcloud. I was so excited that i got started with this house music mix early. The music is so slamming I couldn’t contain myself. I listened to these tracks five times and i like them all. Long Island Dj performs New Years eve with friends

Being a Long Island Dj has its perks. For me, New years eve has always been my favorite holiday. I’ve certainly had my fun over the years and maybe I’ve had too much fun lately. It’s always nice to party at home with my family and friends and I’m glad that it wasn’t the usual blowout this year as I was determined to stay on track with my health and not drink that much this time around. That worked in my favor as I completed the night with one drink which is a new years record. I focused on my love for music and it’s really fun to dj with my brother and veteran Nick Bouboukis. It’s great to hear some different sounds and compare notes. We even went back and forth battle style. Here are all of my tracks i played for the evening.
