I went about a year between playing for my friends. It all came together when i didn’t get hired to play this weekend. The idea came from a friend of mine while playing poker at Grafton a few weeks ago. After playing on Wednesday in short time frames, i was fired up to play. I programmed the music to play, and when i wanted to mix a set , i jumped in the booth and rocked out. When i play for my friends there are no surprises, i know what they want to hear and i delivered. My friends have excellent music taste too. I loved all the requests. I got to play cornhole. Struggled early but was sharp later . Made a good run in the losers bracket. A refreshing dip in the pool. Weather wise it was very gloomy out. A week of rain showers raised many question marks for this Memorial Day Holiday Party celebration in East Hampton. As any Dj, and party goer should know is not to let the weather put you in a bad mood. I arrived early to find out where i was going to be. It was nice to see some familiar faces as my friends from FOOD & COMPANY were there serving their food. I met the host Ann and many of the guests and everyone was really nice. People were outside under the heat lamps and fire mingling and having a good time. It was my first time playing music in a leather jacket. I played lots of rock, disco, Motown, and then moved on to the current music. The kids and adults were singing karaoke inside which brought lots of smiles. Here is the playlist from the party. Being a Long Island Dj has its perks. For me, New years eve has always been my favorite holiday. I’ve certainly had my fun over the years and maybe I’ve had too much fun lately. It’s always nice to party at home with my family and friends and I’m glad that it wasn’t the usual blowout this year as I was determined to stay on track with my health and not drink that much this time around. That worked in my favor as I completed the night with one drink which is a new years record. I focused on my love for music and it’s really fun to dj with my brother and veteran Nick Bouboukis. It’s great to hear some different sounds and compare notes. We even went back and forth battle style. Here are all of my tracks i played for the evening.
